Client : Runde Environmental Centre *Academic Assignment

Brief : Design a birdhouse, functional or decorative, to be marketed by an existing company. Include necessary identity elements and packaging formats for the chosen direction.

Solution : Opting for a highly functional direction, this kit is intended for volunteers working in the clean-up of coastal oil-spills. Specifically, those engaged with the collection and rehabilitation of endagered species of seabirds. The business that I chose for the project is the Runde Environmental Centre, an independent research facility focusing on environmental and conservational projects. The REC is located on the island Runde, home to one of country’s largest seabird colonies and site of a major oil-spill and subsequent cleaning effort in 1992.
